A small team.
Built around the work.

Jack Campbell Groundworks is a specialist outdoor build studio working across Cumbria and Dumfries & Galloway. We design and install paving, driveways, lawns and full garden transformations.
The business started in 2018 with a simple idea: treat outdoor builds the same way good architects treat houses — pay attention to levels, materials, drainage and detail, and the finish takes care of itself. Eight years and 147 projects later, that's still how we work.
We're deliberately small. Jack runs every job from first site visit through to handover. The team is hand-picked, properly trained, and works to the same standard whether the patio is 25 m² or 250 m².

The bit no one sees is the bit that matters most.
Most paving failures aren't about the slab — they're about the sub-base, the falls, the drainage, the edge restraint. Get those right and a patio looks the same in year ten as it did on handover day. Get them wrong and no amount of expensive porcelain saves you.
That's why every project we take on starts with the groundworks done properly. It's slower. It's the reason we don't quote the cheapest. It's also the reason we don't get callbacks.
Paving, driveways and groundworks. We don't do conservatories or kitchens.
